Residents of San Isidro Demand Improved Security Measures

The residents of San Isidro expressed their rejection of the proposal to amend the Urban Planning Code, which could bring significant changes to residential areas. This concern adds to the growing worry about safety in the district, following a series of thefts and violent crimes.

In a letter addressed to Mayor Ramón Lanús, the neighbors expressed their displeasure at the lack of effective measures to combat insecurity. Recently, the armed robbery of the Manoukian family was highlighted, where armed criminals entered their home, prompting the community to organize and collect signatures in a call for immediate action.

The residents expressed their desire for the municipality to prioritize safety through effective and urgent policies. They also criticized other municipal initiatives that they believe do not respect the identity or regulations of the neighborhood, requesting a response in line with their concerns from local authorities.

Amid this scenario, the daughter of an affected family managed to escape and call for help during a robbery, which caused the criminals to flee. The neighbors emphasized the importance of preserving the quality of life and the identity of Las Lomas, urging Mayor Lanús to redirect his management towards the security needs of the community.
